Finally got a Quadrotor
I finally gave in and bought a quadroter. This little guy ran me $60, has an on-board camera for stills and SD video, and every single part of it is easily and cheaply replaceable, so it's a pretty good first quad to learn with. If I like flying it and I get a lot better I might build my own racing quad. None of my videos yet are worth sharing and the weather is looking ugly so I'll try to put up a video later this week.
The Martian and Space Taters
With the new trailer for The Martian out I was thinking about it and I remembered something that bothered me when I read it last year.
