TDCS devices are used to safely and temporarily alter your brain chemestry in various ways depending on how they are applied and set. It's too much to go into here, check wikipedia if you are curious. This device looked good on paper but had a minor issue that prevented it from being very effective. I'm currently working on a superior and somewhat larger version. One neat part of this build though are the electrodes, made from sponges, metal mesh, wire and Sugru. They worked really well and I'll use them in the next model.
