Clockwork Lego Robot

This little guy was meant to be a prototype for a later walker made of wood, brass, and steel, but I never got around to it. The engine is an antique spring driven movement from a broken Seth Thomas clock. I was lucky that the minute hand arbor was a perfect fit for a lego gear. Without a working escapement to limit it's speed the movement would whirl along at a pretty good clip and make my little hexapod scitter across the floor.
